Ever After High Flower Tutorial

One of the decorations that we made for the Ever After High party was the Madeline Hatter Tree.

Start off with the card stock or paper of your choice. Draw a spiral on the page. I used 8x10 sheets of card stock. Cut along the spiral. I used these to give the petals extra shape. You could also cut with regular scissors. Don't worry about the circle being perfect. Leave a baby fist sized circle uncut.

Once you have the spiral cut out, roll the spiral beginning on the outer edge.

Once your spiral is wound, you are going to place hot glue between the two layers of  the circle that you left uncut.

Now slowly begin to release your grip on the would spiral, organize, fluff, and shape to your liking. The place hot glue on the top circle and press down your flower into place on the uncut circle. It will be necessary to place hot glue between some of the outer layers as well. Turn it upside down to ensure that it is all secure. Then you are done.

For the branch, I got a branch out of the street after a storm and my sister spray painted it with gold paint. She adhered the flowers to the branch with hot glue. Viola! Maddie Hatter Tree!

How do you plan on using these flowers? Are you creating your own tree for an Ever After High Party? Have any questions? Leave comments below.
